Lance keeps up the pretence of being a jolly bachelor while rekindling his romance with Amy. Martin and Susan's relationship heats up. Susan can't lie to Martin - her relationship with Karl is not good but she's not prepared to give up on her marriage. Lou realises he will have to sell assets to cover his debts and turns on Phil, blaming the good-natured neighbour for all his troubles.
